Hey, EED community!

Here is your daily check-in post! Hope everyone is having a great day!

If you are posting for the first time, or new to the community, please review the community's standards, below.

1. Mod (that's me!) will post a Daily Check In post, for those who prefer to note their daily activities in response to a prompt. Please only place exercise comments here.

2. All members are encouraged to post daily independent posts about their activities, if they prefer that to a prompt.

3. Please place any NON-EXERCISE comments in independent update posts and behind a cut. Some people are sensitive to discussion of diet and nutrition. That is integral to many people's exercise activities, so I want members to be able to discuss that, but for those who are here strictly to log exercise, I would like them to be able to avert their eyes.

4. Everyone is encouraged to introduce themselves, discuss their exercise goals, and post updates on their activities. "I finally made it to running a mile!" or "I kicked up into handstand today!" are updates that we all want to hear about and share! Please put long posts and entries involving diet and nutrition behind a cut, though.

5. Aside from intro posts and injury announcements, please try to include an exercise update in every post.

I spent four hours visiting six different gardens with my daughter, today, which is about all the physical activity I can handle in a day. It was great fun, and I got wonderful ideas, and had a lovely long walk through the botanical gardens at the end. All of which means I won't be up for anything, tomorrow, but that was two days worth, for me, as sedentary as I am.

\o/ That sounds like a gorgeous way to get some walking time in. Enjoy your rest day tomorrow!

I am enjoying it very much, thank you. :) I think I will rent-to-try that healing yoga dvd Green recommended, today--stretching will feel good, and it's a good day to check out its pain-relieving claims, too.

That sounds blissful, both in terms of the walking and the companionship with your daughter. When I first got into exercising seriously, my daughter was homeschooling, so we'd walk for half an hour five days a week, and we did that year-round for the four years of her high school. Great for both of us.

It was--we both love gardening, and she's the one who found out about the tour. We walked together when she was in high school, and we've been visiting the botanical gardens (along with the rest of the family) for mother's day, my birthday, etc. for years. And gardening is good exercise, too! (Although we both enjoy planning and buying plants more than the actual digging and weeding.)

And I used a nitro patch, so I'm in pretty good shape today! I'm going to try the healing yoga you recommended, later.

awesome! get the chair out and try it out. there's a lot of chair work in it, using it for balance and sitting down while you stretch.
